From the beginning of time, knowledge has been a great tool to advance generations, conquer countries, gain more power and create unimaginable possibilities!
Servants were purposely excluded from conversations with their bosses for fear that they would “know too much” and conspire against them. Masters deprived their slaves the opportunity to learn how to read and write to keep them from rebelling.
At the same time, the pursuit of knowledge has allowed our society to advance in incredible ways. The greatest inventions of all times have been based on securing, embracing and applying knowledge. Take for example, the invention of the first plane. It took the Wright brothers many trials and accumulation of data to finally make it to that first historic launch.
In my journey to become a pilot, I have realized the importance of knowledge more than ever before. You see, to command an aircraft, you must not only possess the ability to embrace new principles that defy everything you have learned on the ground, but also the skill to synthesize them to make the right decisions as you fly. My discovery of the fascinating principles of aviation was my muse to ponder the benefits of knowledge.
I believe one of the biggest benefits of knowledge is that once you learn something, no one can take it away from you. I believe that knowledge is the most precious gift anyone can possess.
